transcript-lake clean

Preview or remove rebuildable derived data without touching canonical evidence.

Invocation#

sh
transcript-lake [--data-dir <path>] clean [--target <parquet|oko|all>] [--apply] [--json]

Purpose#

Preview or remove rebuildable derived data without touching canonical evidence.

Inputs and options#

  • --target accepts parquet, oko, or all; default is all.
  • Without --apply the command is a preview. --json emits the selected path report.
  • An applied removal takes the state-writer lease only when at least one selected path exists.

Output and state effect#

Preview output reports target, path, existence, bytes, and applied: false. With --apply, removes only Parquet mirrors, Oko export, and Oko staging paths and reports applied: true. Events, cursors, and labels are never selected.

Exact refusals#

  • Unknown target: --target must be parquet, oko, or all.
  • Writer contention during an applicable removal is refused as state writer lock is held by <host> pid <pid>.
  • A positional argument is refused as clean accepts flags only.

All long flags are exact and single-use. A value flag never consumes another --flag. Global --data-dir may appear anywhere in the invocation, must appear once, and selects an absolute root.
