transcript-lake sessions

List the newest sessions from the canonical DuckDB views.

Invocation#

sh
transcript-lake [--data-dir <path>] sessions [--runtime <r>] [--project <text>] [--interrupted] [--limit <n>] [--json]

Purpose#

List the newest sessions from the canonical DuckDB views.

Inputs and options#

  • --runtime <r> selects one of claude, codex, omp, droid, kimi, or hooks.
  • --project <text> is a case-insensitive substring filter.
  • --interrupted selects conversations ending in an unanswered user message or cut-off tool call.
  • --limit <n> keeps the newest n; without it every matching session is listed. --json asks DuckDB for JSON.

Output and state effect#

Read-only. Normal rows include span, turn counts, tool calls, and token counters. Interrupted rows replace token counters with stopped_as and the opening of the final user request. Newest sessions appear first.

Exact refusals#

  • An unsupported runtime is refused as unknown source "bogus" (expected one of: claude, codex, omp, droid, kimi, jeden, …, aider, hooks; `transcript-lake sources` shows each with its roots on this machine), the list being every runtime of the adapter registry.
  • --limit must be a whole number of at least one; omit it to list every session.
  • Any positional argument is refused as sessions accepts flags only.
  • An unrecognized --wat is refused as unknown sessions flag: --wat.
  • Repeating --json is refused as sessions received duplicate --json.

All long flags are exact and single-use. A value flag never consumes another --flag. Global --data-dir may appear anywhere in the invocation, must appear once, and selects an absolute root.
